A brilliant upgrade

I’ve had my 65” G3 for almost a week now and I’m extremely happy with it. I’m moving on from the C9 and the upgrade is very noticeable. Whilst the C9 is still a great TV the G3 is a step up in every area.
Picture
This is the area most people want to know about and this TV does not disappoint! I like to tweak settings to my liking but even out of the box the picture is stunning. The brighter image the MLA screen allows really makes a difference, the colours pop and there’s a vibrancy you don’t get with the older screens. HDR and Dolby Vision images look incredible but I was also impressed with how it handles SDR images.
Easily the best image quality I’ve ever had in a TV.
Sound
I don’t often use the in-built speakers but they sounded good enough for basic viewing.
Gaming
This is where the TV shines for me. Setting up consoles with the HGIG tone mapping made the image really stand out. I was happy with my C9 but loading up Horizon Forbidden West it felt like a new game such was the improvement. Similarly Forza Horizon 5 on Series X was a real highlight. The game optimizer menu was also brilliant.
OS/Apps
Nice improvement in the OS. All a bit more snappy than my C9 even if the C9 was no slough in that area. What I really like with this TV is the mini menu it has when you press the Setting button. It brings up a selection of settings on the left of the screen for all the most used things, so you could easily swap picture or sound modes for example. Within that menu is the Advanced Settings which takes you into the settings proper and allows even deeper tweaking.
The inbuilt apps all worked great as you’d hope. They load quickly and generally easy to navigate.
Overall I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and there isn’t a single area I’m not made up with. Every time I turn the TV on I get a smile on my face and I’m sure that will continue as I use it more and more.
